We noticed trash
Then we noticed how we felt about it. We also realized we wanted to meet our neighbors.
By feeding two birds with one scone, we were able to both help clean up our neighborhood and build a strong community with over 900+ volunteer hours and 5,500+ pounds of trash picked up since 2023.
Our volunteers help pick a different route every weekend where we pick up trash.
Once in a while, we hold trashy hours and meet at a local business that we partner with. Dozens from our neighborhood show up.
Values
- We clean from a place of mutual care and respect for the environment. We don’t police neighbors’ choices or trash habits.
- We are open to all community members, and talk and share with anyone we meet.
- We are an inclusive space: we share names and pronouns, and accommodate access needs.
